Describe it in 25 words or less.

Morgan: A princess and her pet and the adventure that follows.

Gable: The loveable Grathian prince and the Glower family and their Castle are back with an orange egg, a weird wizard and lots of mystery.

Any particular reason for choosing this book?

Morgan: I have read the first book, “Tuesdays in The Castle” and totally loved it, so I was excited to find out that there was a second book and couldn’t WAIT to read it!

Genre:

Morgan: Action/Fantasy/Children’s Literature

Gable: Children’s Fantasy/Adventure

Who was your favorite character and why?

Morgan: This is a tough question, but it would probably be Rolf, because he added humor to the book.

Gable: Celie because she was brave and didn’t give up on saving her family and friends.

Who was your least favorite character and why?

Morgan: Wizard Arkwright, because he creeped me out.

Gable: Wizard Arkwright. You’ll know why he was my least favorite character once you read it.

Did it grab you immediately or did it take a while? Was it worth the wait?

Morgan: Took a little while, but was definitely worth it!

Gable: I love Jessica Day George’s books because she gets right into it at the very start, at least with the Castle Glower books. She also knows how to end a chapter.

Was it plot or character driven?

Morgan: A great mix of both.

What did you think of the ending?

Morgan: It was a very unique ending, and I was sad that it had to end so soon, but there could surely be a third book.

Gable: Intense. And there will be a third book coming out this year on October 7th. It will be called Thursdays With The Crown and I can’t wait to read it!

What was the moral of the story?

Morgan: To do what your heart tells you.

Gable: Never give up on saving the ones you love, even if it’s hard.

Did you learn anything?

Morgan: How to take care of a griffin.

Favorite quote:

Morgan: “The clues are all around us, we just didn’t see them.” –King Glower

Gable: “That’s amazing. Not as amazing as that. But still amazing.” – Rolf Glower

Have you read other books in the series?

Morgan: I have read “Tuesdays in The Castle,” which is the first book in the series, and I LOVED it!

Gable: Yes but this one was totally better. Check out my review of Tuesdays At The Castle.

Who would you recommend it to?

Morgan: Those who like only a little bit of fantasy and lots of action in their books.

Gable: People who were not satisfied with the first book, people who are interested in griffins and people who like the idea of owning a pony.

Number of unknown words:

Morgan: 26

Gable: 6

Recipe: Apple Pie

What pet did you end up keeping that you never intended on having in the first place?
