The Lone Ranger
Describe it in 25 words or less.
Pete: The story of a lawyer and a native American who search for justice and redemption.
Brigette: An unlikely duo team up to bring justice to each other’s families.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Pete: Silver, because he seemed to always be in the right place at the right time and he enjoyed a beer or two.
Brigette: Silver because he was always there when you needed him.
Who was your least favorite character and why?
Pete: Butch Cavendish because he was so evil.
Brigette: The rabbits. You’ll have to watch it to know what I mean.
How was the casting?
Pete: I’m beginning to get slightly annoyed by all the type-casting in Hollywood.
Brigette: I’m kind of tired of Johnny Depp in these sorts of roles. I’d really like to see him in more roles like the one he played in The Tourist. And I think Armie Hammer has already been typecast as well.
Did it grab you immediately or did it take a while? Was it worth the wait?
Pete: It took a little while to fully grab my attention but ultimately it was worth the wait and didn’t feel like it was over 2 hours long.
Brigette: It was immediately intriguing.
Pete: “They’re gonna violate me with a duck foot.” – Frank
Lone Ranger: “Hi-Yo, Silver! Away!”
Tonto: “Never do that again.”
Lone Ranger: “Sorry.”
How was the soundtrack?
Brigette: You have to wait until the end to get the Lone Ranger theme song (aka William Tell Overture) but it’s definitely worth the it.
Have you watched other Johnny Depp films?
Pete: I’ve seen nearly all of Johnny Depp’s films.
How was the ending?
Pete: Much better than I expected although a little predictable.
Brigette: A bit odd and with unanswered questions.
What was the moral of the story?
Pete: Greed can be fatal.
Brigette: Not everyone is honorable.
Who would you recommend it to?
Pete: Anyone who has ever ridden a horse, Johnny Depp fans, Disney Movie fans, Lone Ranger fans.
Brigette: Pirates of the Caribbean fans and anyone new to the Lone Ranger story.
Beer Pairing: (Pete’s specialty)
