Write 6 words you would put on this book if it were in the “Blind Date With A Book” shelf. Guardian Angels, Orphans, Evil, Friends, Ghosts

Genre: Suspense/Children’s Literature

Who was your favorite character and why? Magnus because he was kind and smart.

Who was your least favorite character and why? Matron Pluckrose because she was overly-strict, evil, hated children and was also very selfish. Although, Lythia was also my least favorite character because she was evil and greedy.

Did it grab you immediately or did it take a while? Was it worth the wait? It took a while, but eventually it got really suspenseful. Also, the ending was worth it.

Was it plot or character driven? Both.

What did you think of the ending? Sweet.

What was the moral of the story? You can do good in the world, even if you don’t have a guardian angel.

Favorite quote: “It had to be a sign that things were looking up. Chocolate was always a good sign.” – Narrator

Have you read other books by the same author? I have read Tan Callahan and the Secret Spy Files, which I didn’t much like, and I was hoping this one was also going to be a bit of a let down but I was wrong.

Who would you recommend it to? Those who feel lost in the world.

Number of unknown words: 15

Craft/Activity: Make Olive’s angel doll.

Shepard’s Pie
Joan’s Lemon Sponge Cake
