Diamonds Are Forever by Ian Fleming
Write 6 words you would put on this book if it were in the “Blind Date With A Book” shelf.
James Bond, Diamond Smuggling, Tiffany Case
Any particular reason for choosing this book? It was the next in line of the Bond series that I’m reading.
Genre: Spy/Adventure/James Bond
Who was your favorite character and why? James Bond because he was relentless.
Who was your least favorite character and why? Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd because of their cruel ways.
Did it grab you immediately or did it take a while? It grabbed me early on and maintained a high level of intensity throughout.
Was it plot or character driven? It leaned toward the plot this time around.
What did you think of the ending? It left me wanting a bit more. I’m interested in how the next book (From Russia, with Love) begins.
What was the moral of the story? Aim high and go with your instincts.
James Bond: “Do you mind if I smoke?”
Tiffany Case: “If that’s the way you want to die.”
How does the book compare to the film? Most of the characters are the same but different enough to be noticeable.
Who would you recommend it to? Fans of James Bond and adventures.
