Describe it in 25 words or less. Four siblings decide to pool their allowance money so they can do something fun each Saturday.

Genre: Classic Children’s Literature

Who was your favorite character and why? Even though I could relate to each of the characters in some way, my favorite character would have to be Rush because he was funny and playful.

Who was your least favorite character and why? Marleen, because even though she didn’t feature much, she was still a little brat.

Did it grab you immediately or did it take a while? Even though everything in the book was pretty normal, the writing style made everything seem fun and exciting.

Was it plot or character driven? Both.

What did you think of the ending? Lovely.

What was the moral of the story? Make every moment count. Have fun.

Favorite quote: “I suppose parents are always startled when they see their children showing signs of growing up for the first time.” – Father

Songs: I’ve put the songs Rush plays on Grooveshark and Spotify.

Who would you recommend it to? Any child who wants to have fun.

Number of unknown words: 7

Recipe: Petit Fours

If you were to spend one whole Saturday by yourself, how would you spend it?
