Any particular reason for choosing this book? Being a lover of fine craft-beer I was interested as to how cheese could be paired with it.
What was your favorite part and why? The pairing of Napa Smith’s Bonfire Imperial Porter with coffee-rubbed Barely Buzzed cheese sounds like something that would be served in heaven.
Did it grab you immediately or did it take a while? It started out with some useful information and then got into specifics matching cheeses with each beer style. It was very simple to follow and would make a great reference book for anyone from the home entertainer to a restaurant owner or event manager.
Did you learn anything? I learned a lot about cheese varieties and a little about some of the beer styles.
Who would you recommend it to? Lovers of fine Cheese and/or craft-beer and “foodies” in general.
