Any particular reason for choosing this book? It was recommended to me by my wife.
What did you think of the cover art? Very interesting and would make a great poster.
Who was your favorite character and why? Alek because of his dedication to his promise and grandfather.
Who was your least favorite character and why? Papa because of the secrets he hid.
Did it grab you immediately or did it take a while? It took some time to really ignite, but when it did it was quite an inferno.
Was it plot or character driven? Mostly character, but the plot was excellent.
What did you think of the ending? Brilliant ending that left me wondering about what might have really happened.
What was the moral of the story? Be careful when making promises.
What would you change? I think it could have been made slightly shorter; there were parts early on that I think could have been deleted or edited out.
Have you read other books by the same author? Not yet, but I plan to.
Would you like to see it adapted into a film? Absolutely not.
